Differences Between the Ford Fiesta and the Vauxhall Corsa

The Ford Fiesta is one of the leading subcompact cars in the US. It has many benefits to owning it such as the 1.6-liter twin-independent variable cam timing Duratec 14 engine. This is paired with a PowerShift six-speed automatic transmission to offer a highway fuel economy of 40 mpg. The Ford Fiesta has power-assisted steering with standard AdvanceTrac ESC and an exclusive hill start assist control. This feature alone is one of the most innovative technologies available. The six-speed transmission provides torque to the wheels 100% of the time which helps prevent single wheel slippage. It has a leak-free dry clutch and neutral idle mode which contributes to the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. It also features a maintenance-free transmission that requires no dipstick and is designed to last up to 150,000 miles. They offer an optional Super Fuel Economy package that gives additional aerodynamic details like underbody shields and blockers on the lower grille.

There are five different models of the Vauxhall Corsa; Expression, Life, Club, Design and SRI. These vehicles provide a diverse selection of features and amenities that are exclusive to the model. The Expression offers an ABS system, EBA system, dual front airbags and speed-sensitive electric power steering. The Vauxhall Corsa Life features these plus a few additional amenities such as welcome lighting, central locking remote control and electric front windows. The Corsa Club offers front seat side-impact and full-size curtain airbags, steering wheel mounted audio controls, adjustable steering column and adjustable driver’s seat height. With the Vauxhall Corsa Design you get air, 16” alloy wheels, rain-sensitive windshield wipers, front bucket seats and front fog lights. Finally the SRI features many sporty additions including a sport front lower spoiler, rear lower skirt and spoiler, sports suspension and enhanced under steering control.

The Ford Fiesta is an American made vehicle which is engineered for the roadways of the US while the Vauxhall Corsa is European made and designed specifically for the use on European roadways. The differences in the two should be considered. The Vauxhall Corsa has a higher price tag than the Fiesta only because it is a sports car.
