A Comparison of the New Ford Galaxy and the Vauxhall Zafira

The Ford Galaxy was a full sized vehicle that was very popular in the late 1950’s to the mid 1970’s. It was discontinued in the 70’s and replaced by the LTD. The Ford Galaxy is making a comeback on the European market and is better than ever. Today this is one of Ford’s most luxurious vehicles. It will seat 7 people and combines features with design to that includes it in the “first class travel” elite vehicles.

The front of the vehicle has a new fascia design that includes a lower trapezoid grille with inserts featuring chrome bars plus a new look for the fog light which emphasize the kinetic design. There are several different models of the Ford Galaxy including the Ghia, Titanium, S-Max and the C-Max. Each model offers its own luxurious features but all are equipped with an all new 2.0 liter Ford EcoBoost SCTi engine and are the first to feature these engines. It is a luxury vehicle that is making its way back into the auto market. Prices will vary but you can expect to pay in the upper teens for one.

Being a European designed and built vehicle the Vauxhall Zafira differs from the Galaxy in a number of ways. There are actually seven different models of this vehicle, each with their own features. The seven models include the Expression, Life-Star Silver, Design-Ultra Blue, Elegance-Silver Lightning, Star Silver, GSi-Arden Blue and Energy-Silver Lightning. All but two of these models, the Star Silver and the GSi-Arden Blue feature an anti-lock braking system.

There are several of the Vauxhall Zafira models that are sporty vehicles and include features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension and Electronic Stability Program. Most of them have air-conditioning and airbags with many more safety features. In comparison of the Ford Galaxy and the Vauxhall Zafira, the Zafira is a more luxurious vehicle. Although both are luxurious, the Zafira has more models to choose from and more features that are available. The fuel consumption on both the Ford Galaxy and the Vauxhall Zafira will depend on the engine size and the number of miles driven.
